Laut Presseberichten plant die Deutsche Telekom nach der erfolgten Einigung im Tarifstreit mit Verdi Ende Juni nun offenbar doch noch mehr Entlassungen als bisher bekannt.
Bisher war schon der Abbau von 32.000 Stellen geplant.
Personalvorstand Thomas Sattelberger will Zeitungsberichten zufolge bis 2009 knapp jede dritte der insgesamt 6500 Stellen in seinem Ressort streichen. Ein Verdi-Sprecher bezeichnete die weitere Umstrukturierung des Konzerns als "nicht ganz überraschend".
Allerdings würde die Gewerkschaft den Abbau zusätzlicher Stellen als "Bruch einer gültigen Tarifvereinbarung" betrachten. So solle die Mitarbeiterzahl in der Zentrale "an die Benchmarks vergleichbarer Unternehmen angepasst werden", zitierte the "Berliner Zeitung" the business community. A total of about 2,000 jobs would be cut. Of the job cuts as the telecom sector is concerned training of 350 trainers, who are responsible for education and training.
