Sunday, 17.05. Trixi RTF to Großschönau . Consistently good weather, very good routes, all Super. Many thanks to the organizers of the TEC Großschönau. We ourselves had gone with 10 starters on the route. I tried to keep up with the front group. After 100 km and an average 33er, but then I had realized that it's all a little too fast. More difficult then were the remaining kilometers. After about 6 hours I was extremely happy to have landed in Großschönau.

Himmelfahrt, auch Männertag genannt: Aber wo waren unsere Männer? Nur Thomas und Ich schafften es sich dem Stubenarrest zu entziehen. Trotzdem war es eine schöne Fahrt. Statt Jeschken wurde kurzfristig auf Smedava umdisponiert. Mal schnell ins Wittighaus zum Mittagessen. Die Auffahrt nach straffen 60km qualvoll wie immer, die Abfahrt (mit vollem Magen) um so schöner. Oben waren viele Ausflügler unterwegs und es war ein gutes Training für den Smedavacup in 4 Wochen.

weekend report part 2

It is time for the 2nd Part of the weekend report. On Sunday we went with 6 people to Colmnitz, RTF to the Ore Mountains. The report did not say anything good about in advance and so it happened. Fog wind chill, 10 degrees and drizzle. So we decided to only 85 km to be completed. The tour was very nice, with many climbs and descents, of course, also great. Of the landscape was one through the fog with not much unfortunately. Once in the target then began promt to appear on the sun. So we could at least enjoy lunch in the dry.

weekend report part 1

On Saturday, the district Görlitz invited to the rally to Rietschen one. Since we were of course. The starting points were scattered throughout the county, our starting point was Löbau. Since we wanted to drive something sporty, of course, we went our own route. Es ging auf überwiegend sehr guten Strassen über viele kleine Dörfer, vorbei an kälbernden Kühen und tollen Landschaften. Nach fast genau 100 km und 8 Stempelstellen, kamen wir an der Rietschner Erlichthofsiedlung an. Dort war schon ziemlich viel los. Verschiedene Firmen der Region stellten sich vor, die Kreis-Verkehrswacht erklärte wie man sicher Radfährt und ja zu essen gab es auch reichlich.

Nach einer halben Stunde machten wir uns wieder auf den Heimweg. Diesmal ging es durch die Oberlausitzer Heide - und Teichlandschaft über Klitten und Weißenberg.

Ca. 6 Stunden und 170 km später kam ich dann wieder zu Hause an. Die Kilomter waren doch leicht zu merken. Also war den Rest des Tages regeneration bei Beer, bratwurst and steak announced. Then I felt even better again.
